Hi, I’m Jalynn, the artist behind Jaylukaart. Usually with paint on my hands. I’ve always been drawn to moments that pass quickly, and finding a way to hold onto them just a little longer.

I like making messy art, the kind where it doesn’t matter if I mess up because it’s just for me. No pressure, no expectations. I think the pieces that get a little messy tend to tell the best stories.

I always have some kind of show or movie playing in the background. I just finished The Rookie, and now I’m onto Tell Me Lies.

Green has always been my favorite, but lately I’ve been really into pink too. Together, they just work!

I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I started painting in early middle school and was drawn to the idea of bringing something to life on a canvas. I began with acrylics, but once I found watercolor, I fell in love with it.

I have two favorite seasons, spring and fall. I love the transition they bring, the shift in the air, and especially the changing colors in the leaves.
